The marital crisis between Senator Ned Munir Nwoko and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has escalated dramatically, following the senator’s confirmation that a series of leaked medical and toxicology reports about Regina are “authentic, consistent, and deeply alarming.”
In a statement released by his communication team, Nwoko said the circulating documents—detailing substance use, overdose incidents, and failed rehabilitation attempts—were genuine; however, the medical institutions themselves did not release them due to confidentiality laws.
According to Nwoko, the toxicology reports and files from Serenity Hospital confirmed the presence of marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates at “extremely elevated levels,” and alcohol at a “critically dangerous level.” He added that a report from Nizamiya Hospital dated October 3rd documented Regina being brought in unconscious from an overdose.
The senator said rehabilitation efforts repeatedly failed because of persistent interference from Regina’s siblings, who allegedly saw “nothing wrong” with giving her alcohol and weed even during treatment.
Nwoko stressed that his insistence on therapy stems from concern over Regina’s mental state, arguing that many of her recent online actions are influenced by instability and external manipulation. He warned that her condition is no longer an issue that can be handled privately.
Their marriage—once portrayed as glamorous and unshakable—has become a public battleground, with Regina posting cryptic messages online and Nwoko responding with increasingly direct statements. What began as quiet tension has now exploded into a full-blown crisis, fueled by leaked documents, family interference, and the high-pressure spotlight of celebrity life.
Nwoko said his priority remains the welfare of Regina and their two sons. “She deserves the chance to regain her health and stability,” he stated.
As the saga unfolds across Nigerian and global headlines, the once-celebrated union continues to spiral, with no clear path to reconciliation in sight.
